A lifetime ago when I was starting my makeup career in fashion in London, Claudia Schiffer had just been signed and was beginning her modeling career. Her career span has been spectacular, and here, some 24 years later in Vogue Espana September issue she shows she not only still has every single thing it takes, but she's got a whole lot more.

Harpers Bazaar September Issue - The Season's Riches

When she lives in Hades/Phoenix there are very few things that get a girl through the infernal heat horror that is the month of August, and without which she will lose her mind.
1) a one way airline ticket out of here (this year, no luck - I've been in town all month)
2) an ice cold studio to work in (check - lucked out there)
3) the arrival of the September issues (halleluliah!!)

In magazine-land September is our January. This is where the year begins. And every publication rolls out its biggest, fattest, most glorious issue of the year. In short, its damn fabulous.
Whether they arrive in your mailbox or come to you via Zinio, the September issues are the best part of August.

Venice keeps calling me back.
I swear she even calls to me when I sleep.
Like a Siren's song the decadent lure of this beautiful city, seductive and sultry, her promise of bacchanalia and black magic, overwhelming the senses, her excess, opulence and decay, all in a shroud of mystery, keeps pulling me back.

ShiseidoShimmering Cream Eyeshadows

These look delicious.
I haven't worked with them yet, but can't wait to get my hands on the new Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Shadows

 

These are lightweight cream eye shadows with a radiant lustrous finish. 

Apparently they last and look fresh for 16 hours.

And, I'm told, they hydrate the skin with a Super Hydro-Wrap with Vitalizing DE.

Not entirely sure what that is, but it sounds good!
